44/55

This is the card that I made my Dad from the cats. He has this "Serta" mattress promotional sheep stuffed animal with a "44" on it, so this is Serta with a blanket thrown over him and a "55" for 55 years. I scanned this on a white background, the card is actually cut out around the black edge.

This shot shows under the sheep's "blanket".

Sheepies

This is the card I made my Dad for his birthday. I tried out some new mulberry paper, but I didn't like it. It looks cheap. The swirls on the sheep I did by dry embossing. That is when you use a stencil and an embossing tool (a pen-like instrument with a metal ball at the end) and press into the cardstock.

Lavender Pansies

This is a card I made my Mom for Mother's Day this year. It is made of cardstock except for the green mulberry paper that is directly behind the pansies. The pansies I made in three layers and accented with purple and yellow chalks. The pansies and mulberry paper are glued together with white glue, the rest of it is held together with acid-free scrapbooking tape.

Yellow Submarine Purse

A purse I started yesterday out of some yellow cordouroy I have had for what seems like forever. I got it from my Gramma, at some point it was someone's shirt. Now it's a super cool purse with a chic red lining.

Monkey See

The first monkey card I made. I was going to put it on white cardstock, but then I decided green was much more exciting.

Monkey Do

This is the second monkey I made... the photograph makes it appear a lot lighter than it actually is, the colours are more vibrant.

Maybe Pink Makes Her Sad

She doesn't look too happy... and her eyes look funny. Why is that?

Yay for Noses!

There's a nose! How come this photo turned out so much better than the other ones?

Blonde Haired Girl

The photo for this card didn't turn out very well... she has a nose, really, she does. :)

Colours of Christmas

I like the way this card turned out, with the red lips matching the red shirt. But I generally like green and red together anyways.

Four Ladies

Four heads before they made their way onto cards.

A Butterfly, A Dragonfly, and a Flower

A sampling of three cards I made with acid free cardstock, rubberstamps, glue, and irridescent glitter. The rubber stamps were ones I got as a doorprize at a scrapbooking party and workshop.

Myrtle

A card made with acid free cardstock. Inside it the caption says "Myrtle loves many things."

Arrow Purse

This is the "Arrow Purse" I made. You can see the process here.
